Notes: "Pinocchio" was the second video in the Classics line. On the tape, the FBI logo, not the warning article, is on the right side of the tape. It was the first animated feature on video to be a sellout. 500,000 copies produced with artwork built into clamshell.  A more current version of the clamshell was later issued with slide-in inserts like the rest of the VHS's. The original classic edition was very rare even in its time, Disney re-released Pinocchio to theatres in 1992 and promoted a new VHS release. Like the "Fantasia" video, the 1992 re-release was a pre-cursor to the 1994 "Masterpiece" line and included the 1988 "classics" logo before the movie but sports "Masterpiece" on the artwork case.
