Notes: "Dumbo" launched the Black Diamond Series in 1984, soon followed by "Pinnochio". Two copies of the re-release video were produced. One has the same video as the 1984 release with the older logos, the second is a new tape with new logos and previews. There were more copies that had artwork built into the black clamshell than the slide-in versions in 1985 or possibly early 1986. In 1985, it was issued with new logos and sent to Europe as a PAL version. From 1984 to 1987, Walt Disney Classics were high priced. The early Classics releases from 1984-85 showed a longer WDHV logo at the top of the spine and the black diamond under the logo, and no character profile. This is seen on the artwork embedded clamshells of the mid-1980s (Pinocchio also followed this rule). Clamshell designing companies at the time were Blair Industries, but in late 1990, Mercury Foam designed them.
