In 1984, Disney launched a new line of home video called "The Classics Collection". This was the first complete line of releases for their original animated classics spanning over 52 years of full length Disney features from 1940 (Pinocchio) to Aladdin (1992) with less than 20 titles, when the classics were cut off and the masterpiece collection was started. The classics were released on VHS in clamshell cases and on laserdisc from 1985 to 1994. Stunning artwork promoted these titles in stores and are now rare and very collectible pieces for Disney fans around the world!
